Dubrovnik Sightseeing: Full Day Tour

Join our Dubrovnik sightseeing tour and get to know this ancient city which was also used as a filming location for Game of Thrones series.

Although it's around 3 hours drive from Split to Dubrovnik, if you're interested in old towns and rich history of Croatian south, phenomenal sights of this marvelous city will leave you in awe.

When we pick our guests with a car or a minivan, depending on the number of visitors, we head to the highway above Split on our route to Dubrovnik. On the way to Dubrovnik, we stop at Ston.

Dubrovnik sightseeing tour is private experience. Also, minimal number of participants is 3, while max is 8.

Ston: Home of the longest wall in Europe

Ston is a small town which served as shield of Dubrovnik on the north. Defensive walls of this small town were vital defence perimeter on the northern border of the old Republic as well as notable feat of medieval architecture.

It is "delicious appetizer" and great example of what to expect during Dubrovnik sightseeing. Great Wall which is the longest stone wall in Europe (5,5 km) and town of Ston are popular tourist destinations.

Ston is also known as the town of salt, thanks to the oldest active saltworks in the world. However the cultivation of oysters and mussels is present since the Romans, while its charming architecture will take you to the 15th century.

Dubrovnik Sightseeing

If Ston was "appetizer", Dubrovnik is the "main course" of our trip and probably the most beautiful Croatian city. Amazing architecture and rich history of this ancient town, which seems like its frozen in time, will leave you speechless.

Although Dubrovnik was severely damaged by an earthquake in 1667 and again in the 1990s during Croatian War of Independence, it managed to preserve its beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains.

Despite its historical structures, charming alleyways and famous main street called Stradun, the thing you shouldn’t miss during Dubrovnik sightseeing, is the walking tour along the medieval walls

From the walls, you will have great view of the old town, Adriatic Sea in the front and mountain Srđ in the back. However, from the mountain you have an amazing view of the city and its surroundings.

When you visit the old town, you will recognize many locations from Game of Thrones, especially from the seasons 3, 4 and 5. Beside being used as real life set of King’s Landing, Dubrovnik is also on the UNESCO world heritage list.
